Ball Themed File Folder Activities
Are you looking for engaging hands-on activities for students to use during a sports or ball theme? These folders have interactive pieces so students can complete and practice the activities over and over.
These are great to laminate and use at math centers, literacy centers, small groups or independent work stations.
8 File Folders Included:
- Color Match: Match the basketballs by color.
- Ball Sort: Sort the balls into 4 groups: football, soccer, basketball, baseball.
- Counting 1-10: Count the bowling pins and match the number.
- Matching Numbers 1-12: Match the footballs from 1-12 in the field goal.
- Emotions Sort: Sort the baseball by emotion: happy, sad, angry, scared.
- Ball Size Match: Sort soccer and tennis balls by size.
- Basketball Letter Matching: Match Uppercase (basketball hoop) to lowercase letters (basketball).
- Does it Roll?: Answer yes/no to sort 18 pictures into 2 groups.
How to prep:
- Print the labels, matching and sorting pieces.
- Trim the large sorting mats by cutting on the black lines. Glue these mats into the file folder. Glue the label on the tab and the cover on the front. Laminate.
- Laminate the matching pieces.
- Attach velcro to the matching pieces and the folder. Students will be able to easily complete each file folder game!
- They are easy to store in your filing cabinet to pull out seasonally.
