Description

Banana Split math is an awesome way to gain math fact fluency! This activity is great as a math warm-up before your math lesson of the day. Each student starts at the zeros and ones page. They have 2 minutes to complete the worksheet. If they make a 100 on the worksheet, they will receive a bowl with 0 and 1 on it. The next day, they would get to move on to the twos worksheet. If they make a 100, they get the next piece of their banana split which is a banana with a two on it. Students must continue to work on the same set until they make a 100. A great way to motivate students is to use the ice cream sundaes as a bulletin board. A banana split party is an awesome celebration to wrap up this activity.

Items in this activity set include:
2 different parent letters
10 pages of banana split pieces (numbered)
11 pages of math fact drill sheets
1 instruction page

*students that make a 100 on the mixed facts drill sheet can add glitter (sprinkles) to their banana split.

Using it in class to help them memorize the facts. Some are having a hard time progressing, the pandemic has made them all so far below grade level.
