Description

⭐ This 2nd grade bar graph and picture graph math escape room gives students engaging practice with data questions, comparisons, and graphing skills in a fun garden gnome adventure! In this printable and digital activity, students practice reading bar graphs, reading picture graphs, interpreting data, comparing data, finding totals, and answering “how many more” and “how many fewer” questions. Custom videos help tell the story along the way, making this resource an engaging and immersive way to review important 2nd grade graphing and data skills.

“The gnomes’ house is in danger! Can you read the graphs, solve the data challenges, and use a little magic to help save their home?”

🌼 To save the gnomes’ house, students must complete four exciting graphing challenges! Students answer math questions to clear the lawn, fix the house, collect plants and animals, decorate the garden, and save the house. Each challenge includes a set of nine bar graph or picture graph problems that students must answer correctly to unlock the code and move forward. With each correct code, students collect a new garden item and get closer to saving the gnomes’ home!

This activity is aligned to CCSS 2.MD.D.10, but it can be used in any classroom to review the following standards-based math skills:

This was a great product for my 2nd graders. We used this activity as a review of previously learned skills before end of the year testing. My students liked the escape room and I found that it really forced them to read carefully in order to advance to the next task. It was was a win for me and the class. This escape room was easy to assign to Google Classroom and it also gave my students some practice answering questions on the chromebook which is how they are assessed at the end of the year. Great product, I will be purchasing again in the future from this seller.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Engaging, Easy-to-Use, and Aligned with Standards — A Classroom Favorite! This 2nd Grade Math Escape Room Digital Activity is an absolute gem! I purchased it for a fun way to reinforce key math concepts, and it completely blew me away. The design is engaging, the instructions are clear, and the puzzles are perfectly suited to 2nd grade learners. My students were hooked from the very first screen — they loved the challenge and the sense of accomplishment with each “room” they unlocked. The activity covers essential math skills like addition, subtraction, place value, and word problems, all presented in a creative and interactive format. It’s so much more than just review — it’s meaningful learning disguised as fun! I appreciated that it encouraged collaboration and critical thinking, while still being accessible for all levels of learners in my classroom. It worked flawlessly on our devices and was incredibly easy to prep — just open and go! Whether you're using it in centers, for early finishers, as a whole-class activity, or even during a math celebration day, it’s a versatile resource you'll want to come back to again and again. This is the kind of resource that makes TPT amazing — high-quality, engaging, and created by a fellow educator who gets what we need. Thank you for creating something so thoughtful and effective! Highly recommended!
