Description

This is a great practice activity to reinforce the understanding of base ten blocks. Students will read each task card and find the number on the autumn tree coloring page. There are 40 task cards with 3 and 4 digit numbers.

This is a compressed file. There are two folders included. The teacher version that has everything, and the student version that has only the task cards.

Digital Option:

There is a separate file that has only the task cards. You can share this file digitally with students through Google Classroom, email, etc. This would save you from printing the task cards.

Possible Ways to use in class:

Differentiating Options:

task cards in order: students will color the tree from left to right

task cards mixed up (you must print them off for this method): higher achieving students

*small groups

*whole class

*task cards around the room

*give one complete set of task cards per student

*partner activity

*extended activity (week long end/beginning of math time)

*great to display on bulletin boards
