Base Ten Friends: Two-Digit Problem Solving Strategies Booklet is an excellent way to review place value skills and two-digit addition problem solving strategies. Prior to introducing and using this booklet, I spent a whole week (the week before) thoroughly teaching and modeling each of the three strategies. My students had an ample amount of practice with each of the strategies as well. I highly recommend building some background knowledge of place value before beginning the activities in this booklet. I used this as a review before giving an assessment on the skill of adding two-digit numbers.
