INFO ABOUT THE LEVELED INTERVENTION
▶️ TEACH:
- Introduces students to the basic concept of "same"
- Students get to choose which slides to go to
- Automatic audio recordings to enhance learning
- An icon for the target word, "SAME" is included on every slide. When the icon is clicked, students will hear an audio recording of "SAME"
- Errorless learning provided
- The same set of objects is used until Level 4 in order for students to become proficient and familiar with a small set of items first
▶️LEVEL 1:
- Students are directed to a "re-learning" page when they DON'T SELECT THE ITEMS THAT ARE THE SAME.
- An identical distractor is repeated on every slide.
▶️LEVEL 2:
- The distractor changes on every slide.
- "Re-learning" slides are not provided for incorrect answers.
- A red border highlighting the items gradually disappears.
▶️LEVEL 3:
- Students look at two pictures and decide if they are the same or not.
- Pictures on the left side disappear when clicked.
- Students click until the two pictures on the slide are the same.
▶️LEVEL 4:
- Students select two out of four pictures that are the same.
- Novel pictures are introduced.
▶️LEVEL 5:
- Students find two out of six pictures that are the same.
- Incorrect items are related to each other in some way. This increases the difficulty of this level.
- For example, the incorrect items on a slide may be different types of vehicles.
▶️LEVEL 6:
- Students find ALL of the items that are the same in a picture scene.
- There are more than two pictures that are the same at this level.
- Students perform different actions on each slide. For example, "Put all of the toys that are the same into the toybox."
- In the example above, all of the items in the slide are toys. Students must find all the toys that are exactly the same.
