If your students struggle with the initial draft of an essay, look no further!
I use this Basic Essay Structure to help my students write their informative essays. This product takes me about four to five forty-five minute periods to get through. Some students are finished more quickly than others, of course.
I call this draft the Skeleton Draft because it is bare bones and the students need to add more meat to their essay in their second draft. But this is still a great starting point for those who need a little extra help.
