Basic Facts: Recommended Order List
Share

Description

This is the recommended order that the basic addition and subtraction facts should be taught.

I have PowerPoints that teach each set of these basic facts conceptually. You control animations with clicks of the mouse. These Powerpoints build mental pictures of the facts by using ten frames and number lines. They provide immediate feedback to your students because you control when the answer is shown...right after they give their answer.

I have been using these power points in class, they are engaging for all students and have really helped my students visualize what the algorithm means. I think that the tens frames examples are especially helpful.
