This is a text that covers the basics of mendelian genetics, Punnett squares, basic epigenetics (gene activation and silencing), and a brief section about CRISPR Cas-9. Vocab words are bolded and a vocab list is included at the end for students to fill in. The lesson has pictures, diagrams, a few discussion/critical thinking questions along the way for students to pause and think about what they've just read.
