Navigational System / Navigational Aid Research Project

Overview:

Pilots flying modern aircraft use many different Navigational Systems and Navigational Aids to go from one point to another. Some of these systems have been in use for decades while other systems are fairly new.

Assignment:

Students are assigned to a team that will develop a five minute PowerPoint/Google Slides presentation about a particular Navigational System or Navigational Aid. The team will then present their findings to the class.

Class time:

• 1-2 Days to research and construct the PowerPoint/Google Slides
• 1-2 Days to present to class (Depending on the size of the class and length of the period)

• Student instructions
• List of Navigational Systems/Navigational Aids
• Student Self-assessment with Rubric
