This is a Smartboard lesson the helps students begin to understand basic patterns using letters and pictures. Each page has a series of letters or pictures and students need to figure out what comes next in each pattern. The answer is hidden behind the box at the bottom of each page. When the box is touched the answer is revealed. The patterns covered are AB, AAB, ABB, and ABC. This is a great way to introduce students to basic patterns. The preview file has thumbnail shots of many of the pages from this lesson. This can be used in whole group, small group, or as a math center.
