Description
This was made for a French class, but the names of the colours and shapes can be whited out, so students can write them in themselves.
This could be a great intro activity for the school year as it helps in reviewing the basics, is practice for following instructions, and allows the opportunity to review proper scissor and glue use.
These sheets could also be glued into a student portfolio for them to reference whenever they need.
- Have students trace over the upper and lower case letters (review the names of each letter and the sound it makes as you go)
- Have students cut out their numbers (review scissor use) and glue them into the blank spots under the letter section (review glue use/ how much to use, make sure the cap is put back on etc.)
- Review primary colours, and colour the appropriate sections. Talk about secondary colours, and have students colour those sections etc.
- Review the shapes below, and play a little listening game by calling out certain colours for certain shapes (e.g. "The circle is purple"). Students must pay attention to what you say and then use what they know about mixing colours to colour in their shapes. (i.e. instead of using an orange pencil crayon, they must use a yellow and a red one
*Print the first 2 pages for each student, and then print 1 last page for every 3 students.
