Basic Shapes
In this teaching resource students are introduced to basic shapes (circles, squares, triangles and rectangles). They are taught the names of these shapes and begin to describe them by identifying the number of sides each shape has. Students are taught to recognize shapes in different orientations and sizes and begin to identify shapes in everyday objects. Content includes:
- A description of each shape and where we find them in everyday objects
- Identifying shapes activity
- A link to a shape video
- 3 worksheets with answers
