Description
This bundle of resources is perfect for different math activities during the long summer months! They are so cute and pair well with so many summer themes including beach and ocean activities. Below is more info on each resource included in this bundle.
Number Play-doh Mats & Ten Frames:
Your students can use play-doh to form each number and then make the correct amount of little play-doh balls to show the number they formed. You can also use other small items like pom-poms, seashells, or anything else you can think of.
Beach Theme Ten Frames:
These 10 frames are a fun activity for your students to use during math centers or any time you see fit for your classroom. It’s a great way for them to practice one-to-one correspondence. You can cut out the printable beach balls that come with this activity and have your students use them to count with. Or get creative and use Play-Doh, pom poms, seashells, or any other small items that fit into the 10 frames.
Number Flashcards | Counting & Number Matching Games:
This fun learning activity can be used in so many ways and can go with so many fun summer themes!
There are #2 types of beach-themed flashcards. One set has the numerical number on one and then the corresponding number of beach balls to match each number 1-20 on a separate flashcard. This helps students practice one-to-one correspondence and number recognition.
The other type of flashcards has #2 flashcards of each numerical number 1-20 as well as the number words spelled out. This activity can be used as both a number-matching game as well as many other activities.
Finish The Pattern | Math Activities:
This math activity focuses on continuing and completing different patterns. It teaches students how to identify a sequence and continue it using different beach-themed items. There are #10 different items and the patterns range from easy to more difficult to identify and follow. There are a total of #141 different patterns for your students to complete. This is a great independent math activity to use during small groups.
I would print and laminate this activity for better durability and then store the remaining pieces you cut out in a container of some sort so they don’t get lost after you cut them out. I also put a velcro dot on the back of each beach-themed item as well as in the middle of each empty square to make completing the patterns easier.
I hope you and your students enjoy these resources! Please let me know if you have any questions and/or comments!
