Description

Do you have an unused Bee-Bot sitting in your classroom, ready to come out and play with your students? Don't be afraid to get started- jump right in!

In this Bee-Bot basics package, you will find all that you need to get started with helping even your littlest learners learn to program.

Use the informational posters to introduce the buttons to your students, and to reinforce that Bee-Bot does not MOVE left and right, but TURNS left and right. Also, use the poster to remind your students that they need to pay attention to the direction Bee-Bot's eyes are facing as they plan their algorithm to help them turn correctly.

Use the printable Mini-Bee-Bots for students to manipulate as they create an algorithm for their physical Bee-Bot. OR use them to code an algorithm on a blank printable worksheet offline, no robots needed. You can use the same worksheet over and over again, just add your own graphics!

As a bonus, I've included a Bee-Bot on the Farm sample activity and printable Bee-Bot mat icons so that you can jump right in with programming Bee-Bot, as soon as you print!

These materials can be used for students as young as Kindergarten, and through 3rd grade, especially if they have no previous computational thinking experience.
