Before & After Numbers Math Center 1st & 2nd Grade Number Sense

Students look at the number in the middle and determine which numbers come before and after it. This resource includes 20 cards with two-digit numbers and 20 cards with three-digit numbers for easy differentiation. Recording sheets are also included for accountability and assessment.

This activity helps first and second grade students build and strengthen number sense, a critical foundation for math success. A strong understanding of numbers and what they represent supports students as they learn to add and subtract and develop overall mathematical confidence.
