This mini book came about several years ago as I recognized a need to teach my first graders that fractions come in a BIG variety! I have made a form of this mini book for a while, but this is the first time is is fresh and pretty and ready for YOUR students! :)
A few bits of information:
* This book is meant to be printed/copied front & back. When printing double-sided, please choose "Flip on Short Edge" to make sure that your book is turned correctly.
* This book covers halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, and unique fractions based on your name and your students' names. My kids have always enjoyed it! A picture is included in the packet using my name.
* I do use the terms numerator and denominator in the book. I like to teach these to my kids early so that they are not foreign terms when they get older. I do not hold them responsible for the terms, but I am always surprised at how many actually remember the terms throughout the year.
