Description

How do you make learning the beginner multiplication facts and building fact fluency creative and engaging for beginners? Tap into your student's interest in patterns, colors, and crafts and watch them breeze through the intro to multiplication facts using this patterns booklet project. The beginning multiplication facts for 2-12 will be mastered before you know it with this multiplication craft project!

Students will have fun coloring the multiplication patterns in the multiples of 2 thru multiples of 12 on a 0-99 chart for each number to create a final multiplication craft project. The multiples of each number make a pattern that can help students better understand multiplication patterns and remember their basic multiplication facts.

The Intro to Multiplication Patterns Craft Project Booklet includes:

  • teacher instructions
  • book title coloring pages: 5 options with clipart graphics providing variety for gender, ethnicity, or without any clipart
  • Fact pattern pages with 0-99 charts
  • Fact pattern pages with 0-149 charts
    • x2 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x3 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x4 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x5 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x6 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x7 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x8 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x9 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x10 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x11 multiplication facts coloring pages
    • x12 multiplication facts coloring pages

Use the different number chart options to differentiate for skill level. You can also use 99 charts for facts 0-8 and the 149 chart for facts 9-12.

Use your favorite book-binding technique to turn this multiplication fact patterns activity into a take-home multiplication craft. Personally, I like to have students fold a 12x18 piece of construction paper in half, glue the cover page onto one side, and tuck the pages inside. Punch a hole on each end of the fold. Place a popsicle stick along the edge and thread a rubberband through the holes and around the ends of the popsicle stick to hold it tightly in place.
