Challenging behaviors take commitment to change and correct. Document the strategies used during interventions with this sheet! Look for patterns in the outcomes and the most successful interventions.

I like to make note of which of these strategies I used and how effective it was in the intervention:

V = Visual Supports - visual schedule, first/then board, visual boundaries

SS = Social Skills - modeling, role-playing and discussing how to appropriately express feelings and how to interact with peers or staff

R = Reinforcement - sticker/small treat/access to preferred activity after completion of a task, following directions, or other good choices

NCB = Non-contingent Access to Breaks - 5 minute break after every 30 minutes regardless of what he is doing

MID = Modification to Instructional Delivery - offer a different way to participate in the activity

TM = Task Modifications - shorten length, provide break, change mode of completion of a task
