Description

I use a Star Chart in my classroom each year. The kids begin each day with 5 stars...this is important, so that they start fresh each day...throughout the day if I have to give more than a couple of reminders for a certain behavior, they lose a star. Those students that end the day with 5 stars, get their star cards stamped. A full card equals a treat or they may pick from the treat cards...their choice or randomly (you decide). From time to time I will also reward any student that managed to get their star cards punched all week. Oh, to punch the cards, I went to a craft store and picked up a pack of small stampers used for scrapbooking so they would get a different punch everyday...one day a star, a flower, small circle, etc...this way I could keep an eye on those kids who claimed they forgot to get a punch the day before...or my more clever friends who punch their own cards with a hole puncher!
