Behavior Management Tool

Description

This behavior management tool could be easily used for grades 2 - 8.

I printed the behavior codes (included in the pack) on a poster printer and put it above my board for students to easily see expectations. Students could randomly earn a green ticket (just green tickets on a roll) for good behavior and would get a red ticket for negative behavior. Students would write their name, date and the behavior code (the code is on the behavior chart) on the back of their ticket.
I had 2 glass jars, one for the green and one for the red.

At the end of each DAY I would tape the red tickets in a 3 ring binder. I had a page for each student labeled. After 5 red tickets I would conference with parents, whether it be a phone or in person.

At the end of each WEEK I would draw 5 green tickets and they would earn a free class reward. The rewards are printed on the "winner tickets." I actually print them on yellow/gold paper and call them our "golden ticket winners." The students will circle their reward and when they are ready to cash it in, they hand it in. It is great for independence because they have to keep up with it, you lose it - that's too bad! :)

My kids LOVED it and after a few parent conferences, students quickly learned that I wasn't joking about meeting with parents. This was also a great resource to use when doing report cards and meeting with parents at scheduled conference times.
