Description

Behavior Management - I created this behavior modification program a few years ago and wish I had done so sooner!

I teach junior high and high school math and science classes and strive to create a fun, safe, and positive classroom environment so that ALL of my students have the opportunity to gain confidence, learn, and grow. As you know, discipline issues are an undeniable part of the educational process, so I created a way to deal with these problems in a manner that instantly ceases the poor behavior, causes the perpetrator(s) to self-evaluate their poor decision making, and keeps these issues in-house (our new head principal and dean of students LOVE the system!).

This version of the program is geared toward grades 4, 5, and 6. (I have a similar program that contains verbiage more appropriate for grades 7, 8, and 9 – see my store for that version).

When our current principal came to our school, his discipline policy stated that writing could not be used as a form of consequences. Once I presented him with my program (I felt like I was on the show “Shark Tank”) and he read several of the sentences, he who shall not be named, laughed hysterically and immediately changed his policy, allowing myself and other teachers in our building to continue using this system (true story).

You've found the method to my madness, Eduardo, as the sentences hopefully "get the point across" in a lighthearted way (and are just a pain enough to end the undesirable behavior). Happy 2021 to you and your crew!!!
