Description
Hoping to help students with behavioral challenges in a compassionate, reflective and supportive way? Consider this resource for your classroom or home.
The Trauma - Informed Behavior Reflection Think Sheet helps visualize and support self-reflection after challenging times. Focus is placed on understanding brain science, trauma impact and self-reflection through restorative practice. Children are encouraged to report and reflect on what occurred after a behavioral incident, and better plan what they might do to acknowledge and improve upon their behavior moving forward. Many reflection sheets focus on who was harmed - here we hope to also assist students in building their personal 'tool box' of strategies and supports they need to be successful.
This resource can be used alongside other behavior management strategies. The file included comes with a visual outline of brain science and how individuals parts of the brain may work during times of escalation. A poster is included that can go along with brain/trauma awareness instruction as well.
What's Included:
- Think it out - self reflection behavior think sheet (color)
- Brain Science Image / Description Poster (color)
- Think it out - self reflection behavior think sheet (black and white)
