This is a visual I use with my kids. Using a paperclip or clothespin put where the student's engine level is. When the student is elevating or too low move the paperclip to show this. I also wrote what it looks like when your engine is too high, just right, or too low.

You can print out the sheet cut it out and then glue the two sides together.
