A behaviour commitment is an excellent classroom management strategy for students who need a bit more of a "black and white" consequence and reward plan. Students are able to be a part of the commitment, choose their rewards and know what is expected of them. This is also an excellent resource for teachers who are struggling to better manage students who require more structure and encouragement in the classroom. It can be a commitment between teacher, student, parents and administrators to best meet the needs of the student.
