Benchmark Advance Annotation Guides Unit 1
This resource includes annotation guides for each text in the Benchmark Advance Unit 1 magazine. Each guide will be specific on the information the students will be reading. This resource will give the students a purpose for reading. They will have a more focused and clear annotation task. There are different skills that the students will be concentrating on.
Some of the skills that are included in this unit are compare and contrast, comprehension, characters, inferences, plural nouns, Author’s purpose, conflict in the story, problem and solution, illustrations, and much more!

To set this activity up, just print and give them to students. You can also project an annotation page to let students view as a class.
