Great value

My students loved this practice activity on unit rate. I had them do the problems on the included practice sheet and put in the answers as they went. This self checking gave them confidence to know they were doing it right. It also showed them a practical situation for using unit rate. I referred to it as Taco Tuesday for the rest of the year, and while reviewing, and it immediately reminded them how to find the unit rate.

Solve unit rate problems including those involving unit pricing and constant speed. For example, if it took 7 hours to mow 4 lawns, then at that rate, how many lawns could be mowed in 35 hours? At what rate were lawns being mowed?
