More than just a simple video guide! In addition to a standard short-answer sheet, I include a fill-in-the-blank sheet for struggling or younger students, and a more difficult open-ended question sheet for GT or older students! I also like to use the open-ended questions as discussion questions after the video. Discussions can happen as a class, in small groups, or as a jigsaw/pair share type of class structure.

Movies are excellent for introducing or wrapping up a topic, for a substitute teacher, or as a reward for using class time well! The guide simply makes it meaningful!
