Description
Binary Coding Scoot Cards offer an exciting way for students to get moving while learning the basics of binary coding. This hands-on activity encourages students to explore and decode mystery words or binary sequences through engaging, interactive tasks. Simply print a recording sheet for each student and prepare a set of either Letter-to-Binary or Binary-to-Letter scoot cards. For added durability, laminate the cards to use them as reusable task cards in your STEM center!
Teacher Instructions:
Setup: Place one Binary Card at each desk or post them around the room.
Student Rotation: Assign each student to start at a different card. They’ll decode the binary code on their card and record their answer in the corresponding number block on their sheet.
Rotation Options: Students can either rotate to the next station after a set time or progress at their own pace, ensuring a flexible and adaptable classroom activity.
