This unit test / final assessment is an editable test bank of questions that will allow you to make the perfect unit test for your life science or biology students in grades 8 - 12. There are 74 questions of varying formats on the test: Fill in the blank, multiple choice, matching, and short answer. Answer key is included. Choose to use the traditional printable version, or the paperless, digital Google Apps (Google Slides and Google Forms) versions.

This unit test was written to test the material covered in my Biomes PowerPoint and Notes Set, but it can be successfully used with any chapter on Biomes from a traditional high school biology textbook.

The document contains 74 questions. There are 18 fill in the blank questions, 22 multiple choice questions, 31 matching questions, and 3 short answer questions. Complete and detailed answer key is provided.

This test is appropriate for biology or life science students in grades 8 - 12.

  • Students will label a diagram of the different ocean zones.
  • Upwellings, phytoplankton, zooplankton, productivity levels in each zone, species richness.
  • Freshwater zones: Characteristics of freshwater zones, flowing-water ecosystems, standing-water ecosystems, eutrophic lakes, oligotrophic lakes, wetlands, bogs, marshes, swamps.
