Black History Month Reading: To make sure our students are being exposed to Black Authors and books that feature Black protagonists, I've created a curated library of books for middle school students. The PowerPoint deck includes book titles, author's names, how many words students will get credit for when they take a reading quiz through Renaissance Accelerated Reader, and links to audio samples of the book. For classrooms who use Myon, there are links to those texts with the corresponding AR quiz number. Additionally, there are links to some full audio books on YouTube. We use this list on my campus to engage students in a Black History Month Reading Battle. I hope you find it useful!
