Description
Students will use the Blocky coding site to become introduced to coding. This site includes a free ten-lesson introduction. But I have taken these introduction lessons two-steps farther.
First you can test your students coding and problem solving skills using an image I have created within the Blocky program. This image builds upon the introduction lessons and lets you individually grade each student’s skill without coding a thing. All you will need to do is handout or project the image and let them get to work. I have included: my created image, code to my created image and all links to get started on Blocky.
Second, students will create their own image within Blocky and share what they know. I have included student requirements for this part of the project.
This is a great NO PREP project that will make your students love coding!
**Please note: I did not create the Blocky site.

Love that the posters are in color or black and white. Used the colored posters to decorate my room.
Excellent activity. Thank you!
Where is the actual project?
"you had students do something" but....actual steps so kids could work at their own pace would be very helpful
