Description

This lab focuses on the elements of blood that flow through the circulatory system.

Components, their percentage within the blood, and sedimentation rate are discussed.

Students apply this information to create a test tube model of blood containing representation of plasma, red and white blood cells, and platelets.

This handout recommends using plastic test tubes that can be bought in bulk, but this can also work well with water bottles.
