Algorithm for Understanding Division
First, division means sharing. If we have a lot of something and many friends, we divide it among them equally. For example, if we have 36 candies and 4 friends, we want to distribute them fairly.
Second, to quickly adapt to division, think of it this way:
36 ÷ 4 — ask the question: "What number should 4 be multiplied by to get 36?"
The answer is 9, so 36 ÷ 4 = 9.
This approach develops deductive thinking and helps children quickly find answers using their knowledge of multiplication. ✅
