Description

This resource aligns with Lesson 25 from Module 1, Topic G of the Bluebonnet Learning Texas math curriculum for first grade.

In this lesson, students solve “Add To” math stories with a change unknown, and connects the concept to subtraction. Students will model with materials and write number sentences to match each story problem.

I'm a first grade teacher and created this resource for my own classroom—so I’ll be using these exact slides with my students too!

The presentation includes:

  • Over 30 engaging slides
  • A View Only and Editable Canva link
  • Animated sections that ask students questions to keep them actively engaged
  • A focus on hands-on modeling and math talk

I highly recommend using the editable version, so you can customize it for your students' needs. I'll be uploading the rest of the lessons weekly. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at classroomgems@outlook.com.

This resource was created by Classroom Gems - Tesoros del Aula. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), but it aligns with TEA standards for educational purposes.
