Description
This project was created to align with the Kansas Health CTE standards listed below. It soon morphed into a culminating project that students, faculty, district staff, and community members attend and look forward to each semester. The files attached will need some editing to remove my name in the introduction paragraph, and changing the dates to match your class needs.
The project is essentially a 1 week project packed with research and preparation for students to create a mock "career fair" for their peers, school staff, etc. They will interview a professional in their desired career (or watch a YouTube video of that career if you'd prefer not to find that many professionals to have students contact). Their personal research, and interview, etc. will help inspire them to create a booth that freshmen and others will want to come visit.
Along with an outline of daily tasks, outlined research notes, interview question suggestions, etc. you will receive a sign in sheet for the big presentation day (so you know who to thank for coming!) and the rubric I created for this project.
CE 4.1 Identify a variety of careers that use anatomy and physiology knowledge and how it relates to health careers.
HSR 7.1 Identify content, skills and technology related to the health science field.
