While learning about the human body systems my students always spend a class period investigating a variety of body tissue slides under the microscopes. They love any chance to use the microscopes and this provides a bit of "free exploration" while guiding them to connect their findings to the 7th grade standards! The open response questions means very little lab prep for the teacher- one set of copies as a reference and any slides from body tissues!
