This can be used for Guided Reading Groups or Independent Reading Groups.

In second grade, I usually use this for my higher groups. I give each member of the group a job, and they carry out this job while reading.

Includes:
-Word Wizard: Looks for tricky words, points them out to the group, leads discussion on figuring out what the word means, and records them on the chart

-Connector: Asks the group if there are any connections and records the connections of the group

-Summarizer: Leads the group in summarizing the text when reading is complete

-Questioner: Asks questions throughout the reading and records the questions of the group
