Description
Brain Games
This set of activities includes picture analogies, pictures with parts missing, classification, math picture analogies, vocabulary and visual absurdities. Use these brain puzzles to encourage your students to problem solve and use critical thinking. These activities work well as a daily warm-up, enrichment, extension lesson, in a gifted and talented lesson or just a brain break from pencil and paper.
It is also a great tool to increase vocabulary! Analogies build cognitive skills like vocabulary, reading comprehension, and logical reasoning, and are particularly effective for knowledge transfer and addressing misconceptions by simplifying information and providing bridges between the known and the unknown. The activities are extremely easy to extend even after the correct answer is given with open ended questions and asking the children other words are pictures would fit with the question.
All my students love these!
