This fun-filled trivia game is designed to increase knowledge in five categories: language and literature, social studies, science and nature, arts and entertainment, and sports.
This 26-page non-editable game includes:
- a game board
-5 categories each with 48 question cards
- 2 sheets of token cards
- one sheet of brain token cards
-2 sheets of action cards
-one blank sheet in each category on which you can write your own questions
-a set of rules
-note to the teacher
Other items needed: dice
The game board along with the token pages and action card pages can all be laminated (the latter two can be cut into small squares) and used over and over again! If you are unable to print the token pages, you can use other items in their place such as paper clips or coins as tokens. I know that some schools have restrictions on how much can be printed.
The questions range in difficulty and are suitable for children in elementary school to high school levels. You may remove questions which you think are too difficult or too easy or let them be included if you wish.
You can store them in a shoe box or basket and allow the students to get a few at a time to “study” after their in-class assignments have been completed or perhaps they can borrow a few to study overnight and return them the next day.
You could have Trivia Tuesdays or Thursdays to encourage them to increase their general knowledge. It's a great game for a rainy day, spare time and for homeschoolers.
The rules of this game are only a guideline. You may change them to suit your classroom needs. If any rules are unclear, please interpret them as you see fit. There's no need to stick steadfastly to the rules provided. You can vary the time limits or ways to call the game to an end. You can have students play singly or in teams. This game is very versatile!
