Description

I will be doing this assignment during the first week of school with both my online and in-class learners.

We are all choosing to be brave in this difficult time and might I say weird school year.

We are brave for showing up, we are brave for wearing masks and we might even be brave by turning our cameras on. This should be recognized and this should be talked about.

This interactive slide show will talk about the following things

  • What do you think being brave means?
  • Brave as a choice described in kid terms
  • guided breathing and a reminder to smile
  • a video making a connection to being brave and choosing courage- with music
  • slide the circle to answer questions. Ex: would you eat a broccoli pie? Have you ever climbed a really high tree?
  • reflection writing where students can tell you about a time they were brave and showed courage.
  • a message from the heart. This is my message to my students. You can customize this part if you don't like my mushy words. I will also insert my own bitmoji here for my students ;)

I would love to hear your message FROM THE HEART if you're willing to share!
