I'm feeling some buyer's remorse on this, to be honest. While the content is okay, it doesn't strike me as student friendly. The use of the word fortnight tripped me up immediately. There's a lot of unnecessary information that is distracting for the purpose of the activity. Task 4 has a major typo in that it uses the wrong character's name twice... and there's no apparent organizational structure. I will need to make more edits on this than it's worth for me. I recommend significant edits to this resource.

Hi Amanda, Thank you for the pick-up on task 4 and others. I will correct the mistakes asap. For your information the resource is designed for students who have prior knowledge of budgeting. A fortnight is 2 weeks. So, in order to make a weekly budget, students need to be aware enough to convert the fortnightly income into weekly income. In Australia, the term fortnight is commonly used. The purpose of the "unnecessary" information is for students to build their understanding of the topic. FYI, you may like this resource: Budgeting Flipbook | Financial Math 1 | Financial Literacy https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Budgeting-Flipbook-Financial-Math-1-Financial-Literacy-9301395 The resource is designed as an introduction for students to learn about budgeting. I will let you know once the updated resource is uploaded. My apologies for the inconvenience. Wishing you blissful teaching days! :) Cheers, Angela 11 Feb 2024 Hi Amanda, This resource has been updated. What's New: The task 4 of task A is corrected and the activity style is changed so students have more space to write their answers. (More student friendly style) Best Regards, Angela
