Description
I used this activity as a summative assessment for a 10th grade ELA independent reading project.
The document includes directions, a photo example, scoring rubric, peer evaluation form, and templates to print on cardstock that students can cut out and assemble.
Essentially, students will cut out and create a figure to represent a main character from their book. Each part of the figure's body represents a different part of the character or a literary element of the book.
Teachers can provide metal, brad-style fasteners to link the body parts together.
I put my students' projects on display before open house so parents could see their kids' work in our classroom.
