What others say

"My students loved this resource! They were new to the cuisenaire rods, but these cards helped them to get acquainted really quick! I used them in my math centers. There are a lot of task cards, so they didn't got to finish them all in one setting. So I could use this center multiple times. "

Description

Do you have a tub of Cuisenaire Rods in your classroom and don't know what to do with them? Do your students need practice with multiple addends?

Why use Cuisenaire Rods Build It and Add Hands-On with Multiple Addends? Cuisenaire Rods are loved by children, and are great tools for math! Research shows that using tools such as these manipulatives internalizes learning.

How it works: Each block has a value between 1 and 10, and is distinguished by color and size. These task cards challenge the children to add multiple addends by adding the value of each Cuisenaire Rod. For each activity, the students use the colorful blocks as tools to add several addends at a time.

What’s included: There are 30 different task cards for the students to compute, along with a recording sheet and an answer key.
