Teach your students Area, Multiplication, and Financial Literacy through designing and constructing their own Castles! A great Math, Art, & Financial Literacy activity!

Congratulations! You have embarked upon the journey of designing and building your own castle! Before you can begin construction, you will need to design the floor plan and calculate the cost of your equipment while staying within your $25,000 budget. Follow the steps below to get started. Good luck!

This fantastic no-prep resource guides students through researching, designing and constructing their own castles. Students are guided through the process of floor plan design, configuring the location/size of each piece of equipment and furniture, determining the area of each piece of equipment, and calculating the construction costs while staying on budget. Students then design and colour both the interior and exterior of their homes before they begin construction (instructions with photos included). This craft also looks amazing when printed in colour (See thumbnail photos).

It is a form of active learning or inquiry-based learning. Project-Based Learning is in contrast to paper-based, rote memorization, or teacher-led instruction that presents established facts. Please be aware of what you are purchasing.
