This group project has students build numbers with manipulatives and then write the 3 forms of the number: word form, standard form, and expanded form. Students then walk around to the other groups and record the numbers they have built. Extension activities allow for numbers to be sorted least to greatest and to be used in writing inequalities. Directions and recording chart included. Pictures provided by © Laura Strickland/MyCuteGraphics.com, activity created by Jaclyn Seiders.
