This is a SmartBoard lesson that builds student question skills using the informational text. The photographs and text come from Cameron Bredeson's book "Fun Facts about Turtles." The lesson has students predict if the author will tell them about the animals; diet, habitat, or body. Next the students generate questions that they think the author will answer. Then you can push on the covered text to revel the author's text as it is read aloud by a child's voice. Students listen to the text to find out the answers to their questions.
