Each activity focuses on one key value and works to emphasize its importance, value, benefits, as well as how to practice and learn this value. Each activity helps your students navigate these life lessons and values by reading a story about kids navigating the same ups and downs of growing up that your students are. Your students will relate and resonate with these characters and learn the important lessons through them!
Included in each of the activities:
- 2-Page Story: Dive into compelling and original stories based on SEL topics and school behavior. Each story is crafted to teach a lesson about becoming a better person and a better classmate. Each story relatable and inspiring for students, following the lives of children who are navigating the same issues that your students are!
- 5 Reading Comprehension Questions: Assess students' understanding of the story with five thoughtful questions based on each story. These questions encourage students to reflect on the character's journey and connect the story's themes to their own lives.
- 5 Deeper Thinking Reflection Questions: Give your students the time to reflect on how the social situations described in these stories resonates with them and their personal experiences.
- Answer Keys: A comprehensive answer key is provided with each resource to facilitate easy grading and ensure that these products involve no prep for teachers! Answer keys are provided for both reading comprehension questions and for reflection writing questions.
- Full page of Discussion Prompts: Each resource comes with a full page of discussion prompts that are included to guide classroom or group conversations following the activity.
