Description

Get your students up and moving with kinesthetic learning! This activity is perfect for the day before Spring Break!

Break your students up into groups. Each group member will jump twice and the whole group will record all the data. The group will then find statistical landmarks for the:
*Minimum
*Maximum
*Mean
*Median
*Mode

Then, each student in the class takes their farthest jump and shares while the whole class records the data. They will then find the statistical landmarks for the class.

Tips:
* Have a tape measure laid out for each group, two group members will hold the tape measure while a third group member jumps.
* Round each jump to the nearest whole number. To make it more challenging, round each jump to the nearest tenth.
* Have the students measure using the metric system.
