Description

Burger Restaurant Math Task

Recommended for Mid to Late 2nd graders, after practicing vertical addition and introducing coins.

Materials Needed:

Burger Menu (included) --this can be printed in color and laminated for future use

Burger Restaurant Task Worksheet (included)

Play Money (bills and coins, not included)

This math task is designed to help students practice addition with money, especially coins. It is hands-on, relatable, and can to be introduced to students and worked on independently. Students will add to find the amount due for orders at the burger restaurant and use school/play money to count as they go. At the end of the worksheet, students can write down what they would order from this restaurant, add up the total, and draw a picture of their meal!

Directions are written on the first page and the first problem can be modeled and solved as a whole class. It is a great independent or partner work task to practice addition with dollars and cents!
